About The Lakes Country Club

Three executive courses and storybook lakefront living.

Developed by Bill Bone in the early 1980s with golf opening in 1984, The Lakes Country Club centers on a 27-hole championship course by Ted Robinson, the architect nicknamed 'the King of Waterscapes,' who wove fairways through a network of nearly 100 lakes, waterfalls, and streams across the community's 380 acres. More than 40 pools and spas are spread throughout. The recently renovated 55,000-square-foot clubhouse anchors several dining venues, a Racquet Center with 23 tennis, pickleball, and pop-tennis courts, and a separate Lifestyle & Wellness Center with a lap pool and spa suites. Set against the Santa Rosa Mountains, its scale and water-heavy design distinguish it from Palm Desert's more traditional single-course clubs.
